Academic Year Programme
The International Academic Year is a flexible long-term course enabling you to move between General English, Cambridge Exam Preparation and Pre-University Study Preparation.
This Programme is designed for students who wish to gain a thorough knowledge of the English language by committing themselves to a full academic year of study perhaps in preparation for further education either here or abroad.
Academic Year Course/IELTS Preparation 2010
For students wishing to take up places at British Universities (Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses) in September/October 2010/2011
- 12-36 Week Full-Immersion General English and Academic IELTS Preparation
- 30hrs/week of English Language study/Study Skills and Academic Preparation
- Entry Age: 17 yrs old
- LTSM: Long Term Student Meetings with Progress reports
- Exam/Study Skills sessions delivered by our academic team
- Native, Qualified & Dedicated Academic staff
The school also works with an external University Placement company offering expert advice and assistance in finding our students suitable University places with the Countries leading Universities and Colleges of Further Education
Flexible start dates dependent on entry level *
*Recommended start dates (4th January, 1st March, 26th April & 21st June 2010 & September 2010 for University entrance in 2011)
Local IELTS exam testing centre with exams available throughout the duration of the course
All students are placed with a local home stay family throughout their stay in order to adapt to the cultural change.
* Please note the first 8 weeks home stay accommodation fees will need to be paid in advance to the school. Any delay in the arrival will result in the first weeks accommodation being retained by the school.

| 10 GBP | Visa Fee (This applies only to students requiring a CAS number as part of their application to enter on a course at Capital School of English for more than 24 weeks. This is referred to as a GSV - General Student Visa) |
