Young Learners Summer English Courses for Groups in Bournemouth
At Capital School of English in Bournemouth, England we place a lot of importance on learning the language from an early age. To this extent we have created some fantastic courses for International Young Learners Groups.
By creating a programme specifically designed to fit in with your current studies the school’s aim is to help your group to get the greatest benefit from your visit to the UK. This is why it is so important to us that we start talking about your groups’ needs and expectations from an early stage. To this end we encourage Group Leaders and Parent Representative’s to visit the school, if possible, to see what we offer and to discuss the groups’ specific needs.
At all times it is important that the courses are designed to be fun and interactive with the emphasis on vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking and listening, designed to meet the exact requirements of the group.
It is also important that students experience studying in a multi-cultural environment, this helps build understanding and creates friendships that encompass the world.

Interacting not only with your group, but with other students is an important part of learning at Capital School of English in England and we like to make it as much fun as possible. Our Social Organisers are on hand to make the ‘out of class’ activities as rewarding as the English lessons. We offer a range of activities; volleyball, football, bowling, table-tennis, crazy golf, swimming, adventure trails, treasure hunts, beach games, karaoke, BBQ and much, much more.
Additional Facilities
During the summer the Capital School of English’s Young Learners courses are based at our new Rothesay Road Centre with excellent facilities enabling us to provide a bespoke programme of study and activities, yet only 20 minutes from the main school and with easy access to Bournemouth’s premier facilities.
Our new Rothesay Road Centre is based at a private boarding school (during the academic year) that enables us to provide a complete range of courses and activities all onsite due to the extensive range of facilities available to us including sports and leisure activities with dormitory style accommodation for a limited number of students (40).
For all other students based at this centre there will be a comprehensive taxi service providing transport for all students staying with one of our trusted Homestay families including any extra curricular activities at the school. Please note, maximum class sizes for our Young Learners Programme is 15.
Excursions
Whilst in the UK it’s important that the students get to experience the cultural heritage of our language, therefore we run a number of trips, the most popular destinations include: London, Oxford, Bath, Winchester, Salisbury & Stonehenge and the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, theme parks. Again we consult with the Group Leaders in the early stages to ensure that the students gain from these excursions and that their course work reflects these visits to key venues in the UK.
We place a lot of importance on the hosting of all our students. We try to match individual students, who have their own requirements, with families selected by the school. At all times we are in communication with the Group Leaders to ensure that their students are happy at their home from home as this obviously can have a dramatic effect on their overall enjoyment and experience at the School.

We have developed a package that we feel best suits our students. This package works as a foundation for your own specific requirements. The importance is to ensure that together we produce a programme that provides a balanced approach to learning and the cultural experience of the UK at Capital School of English.
Our new Rothesay Road facility also allows us to offer onsite accommodation in bright spacious dormitories segregated according to sex and age with full time residential staff on hand to monitor and look after the students’ requirements.
(Group Packages are quoted separately)
Welfare at Capital School of English in England starts the moment you arrive in Bournemouth, or even before if you are being collected by a school representative either at the Airport or Railway Station. Once safely delivered to the school or your Homestay you will be in the care of one of our experienced Homestay families or residential staff. Once at the school we will provide a full induction programme and orientation of the school and the town before lessons start to help you find your way around. This helps you to meet other students from around the world and to settle in quickly.
At Capital School we also provide a student welfare service to help with accommodation, visas, legal requirements and so on, even before you reach the UK. On arrival, we will provide a meet and greet service for new students (for under 16’s this is mandatory and by request for others), as well as transportation to the school.
Our support continues throughout your course and in the unlikely case that you will need it we have an emergency telephone number that you can ring 24 hours a day. All students under the age of 16 are closely supervised especially on our wide range of social activities. For all age groups, social programmes are organised outside regular classroom hours together with trips and tours to some of the key attractions and historic centres of the UK.
We have introduced Trinity Spoken examinations (GESE) as an integral part of our Young Learner Programmes. Now, as well as an amazing learning experience and fun filled social programme , each student goes home with a Trinity certificate appropriate to their achievable level of language. Trinity Exams, particularly the unique spoken interview, offer distinctive benefits to learners. This motivates learners so that when they have an opportunity to communicate in English, they have confidence in their abilities. To read more click here.
