Macmillan Cancer Support & Youth Cancer Trust

Capital School of English is delighted to be in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support in Dorset and the Youth Cancer Trust

During 2014 Capital School of English will be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and the Youth Cancer Trust as our nominated charities.

Around 4,500 people are diagnosed with cancer in Dorset every year and they need treatment and support. Macmillan Cancer Support is there for people living with cancer, their families and friends to talk, listen and support them.
By fundraising we can continue to fund our Macmillan professionals who are based in our hospitals, hospices and GP surgeries throughout the county.
We believe we can all help. We can raise money through marathons, coffee mornings, street collections, sponsored events. We can give time at local events.  We can share experiences  with each other.

About the Youth Cancer Trust

The Youth Cancer Trust is a unique charity based in Bournemouth. It provides support and free, activity based holidays for young people aged 14 to 30 suffering with cancer or any malignant disease from anywhere in the UK and Irish Republic or who are patients of any UK hospital. You can also come on a holiday if you have been in remission for up to 5 years.
Put simply, we provide a safe place where young cancer patients can be together to enjoy a fun time away from hospital, doing what young people normally do without a cancer diagnosis.
